Il est question de renaissance dans Primal et, avant le nôtre, c'est d'abord celui d'Old Forgotten Lands qui se produit ici. De protagoniste, le synthé devient un adjuvant et ce sont les instruments folkloriques — tambours, bols chantants (on en a toujours besoin), guitares acoustiques et même accordéon — qui tiennent le premier rôle. Minimaliste, la folk est captivante et les rythmes tribaux permettent une forme de transe. Les débuts timides qu'on entendait sur Equinox sont loin derrière...
